 Dog Given a Boost
"After my dog was diagnosed with laryngeal paralysis last week, I was worried that he was getting close to the end of his life. Along with using the Soother Spray and Soother Plus cream, I started him on Booster. Yesterday, I got home from work, expecting the worst, since I didn't want to leave him for 8 hours with an e-collar on, I wasn't sure what I would find when I got home. I walked into my bedroom to find him on my bed. He had pushed all the pillows and blankets off the bed, and I haven't seen him do that for a long time! He was alert and active. We went outside and he started jumping up on me and trotting around the yard. He's not supposed to get winded, as it brings on respiratory distress and he gets cyanotic. He did not do either. This morning was the first morning I did not give him the tranquilizer, as I have been the past week. He has not had one "attack" since early Saturday morning. He is more active and looks alert and seems happy. I take him for a follow up tomorrow, but I expect his prognosis to be excellent!

Feather Picking and Skin Mutilation; Beak Flaking
 "I cannot thank you enough for all your wonderful information and how much time you take to explain to me about these wonderful products and how to use them. As you see with the pictures how in just a short time has made such a difference in the health of my birds.
My lovebird, Peaches, has been suffering for almost a year with feather picking and skin mutilation. I have had her to two different bird specialist Veterinarians. They each prescribed a silver sulfadiazine cream and antibiotics by prescription only and nether of them worked very well. I would apply the cream at night before bed hoping she would sleep through the night only to be awakened with her picking and crying with the pain.
Now I have her on Harrisons' food and supplements and I apply their Soother tropical spray and Soother Plus cream and giving her Booster. She now sleeps through the night, no picking or crying out. (I am) working on changing her food to Harrison's exclusively.
My severe macaw is 28 years old and I adopted him about 5 years ago. Boy, what a challenge it is trying to learn what he likes and doesn't like! He is truly amazing. I can talk about him all day, but the most important thing about him is what the Harrison's foods has done for him is, about every couple of months his beak would chip and flake, and I was afraid food would get up into his beak and maybe get infected, so I would have the groomer at the pet store sand and file and smooth down his beak. Even though it looked better, he was miserable for days after.
Last week, I noticed his beak was looking bad againand thinking I should go to the pet store to have it sanded it down again but before I did, I noticed that after a little over a week on Harrison's foods his beak is smooth and healthy looking. No need to put him through any of that sanding again with these products.
So, you must know how thrilled I am with this company, the products and the people who represents them. I will send more pictures of Peaches as she improves."

Cockapoo with MRSA and Other Skin Disorders

Soother Keeps Our Dove's Feet & Toes Clean
"Our vet recommended Soother topical spray several years back to keep our dove's sore toes clean. I have used it daily. I dip a q-tip in a the clear spray cap cover filled with just enough soother for that cleaning session. I DO NOT USE THE SPRAY NOZZLE BECAUSE IT IS MESSY & gets all over the birds feathers. Feline Foot Pads with Nonhealing Sores
"I just wanted to tell you I love your products. I have an 8-year-old cat that suddenly started having problems with his front pads swelling and cracking. The vet said it was 'pillow pad' disease but there was nothing they could do for him. His pads got so swollen they formed huge bloody holes that would not heal. We tried every ointment we could and gauze, but it would just open back up.
Blood trails everywhere. I finally found your site and ordered the Soother Plus. It is expensive for a little tube but worth it! We applied it to his feet, with no gauze as he just ripped it off. Cracks on Feet and Help with Egg Laying
 We are big fans of AVIx Booster and Soother (Plus) cream and spray. Ever since I got him he keeps getting cracks on his feet once in a while, despite all the possible husbandry changes I've made over the last 3 years I've had him. The last time he got them they got quite bad, it coincided with the egg laying period and must have worsened the condition, according to the vet. But with regular dose of Booster and Soother on his feet they are almost fully healed now.
While laying the egg, as it was her first egg, there was a little tear and bleeding. Our vet said it was nothing to worry about, but Soother came to the rescue once again and only two days later and her bum is looking a lot better, there is no blood and it is all coming back to normal in that area. So as you can see we use your products extensively and can't thank you enough for such brilliant, safe products!

Chemical Burns in a Senegal Parrot
“I have a 10-year-old Senegal named Sebastian. About 4 years ago he had a severe respiratory infection and was given antibiotic injections, which escalated into a severe 3rd degree chemical burn all over his body—his torso, legs and feet were all open, raw and oozing.
He had to wear a little neck collar for months to keep him from picking the terrible wounds. We became very wary and careful about any new substance we introduced into or onto Sebastian. We’ve had 4 very difficult years of open wounds, oral antibiotics anti-fungals and topicals. We tried so many different things for him--herbal remedies, different salves even acupuncture. Healing was progressing but very slowly and we gave up hope of him ever being even close to normal--he didn’t move much, made no sounds, didn’t play with his favorite toys or eat his favorite treats.
One day our vet gave us a tube of Soother Plus cream, which started to make a difference on his skin lesions. When it came there was a small sample bottle of Booster, which sat around for a while until we read the accompanying literature. A phone call to your company to inquire about Booster resulted in a professional, knowledgeable and encouraging employee on the other end of the line, who listened to my sad tale of woe and after our conversation, I felt comfortable in trying it out. That was approximately a year ago; we noticed enough improvement to continue using Booster.
About 6 months ago, Sebastian started vocalizing more and being a little more active. I thought I’d never see him walk or be able to stand on his play table again, but now he has enough balance and healed feet to sit on my shoulder, walk by himself on his play table, be curious about his toys and surroundings again, eat his treats and even have more feathers than I’d ever hoped for.
His torso is still mostly bare and his skin seems to have permanent discoloration in spots, but feathers (healthy ones!) now cover his crop & his head, neck and wings are almost fully feathered. Even his little legs are getting some beautiful Senegal orange feathers. Most of all, his behavior is almost normal! "A rescued blue-fronted Amazon had a deformed cloaca (due a severe burn), which accumulated feces and urates and created large cloacoliths. There was always a foul smell diarrhea with many Gram-positive bacilli and yeast, which not always revealed spores (only after a while in the environment). Feather Picking
"I just want to give you a quick update on my two feather-picking lovebirds. For about 2 weeks they have been on a Harrison's Bird Foods High Potency pellet diet and are also eating the Booster daily when I put it on veggies with some seeds on top.
I switched their diet after the vet said one of them had a feather disease called polyfolliculitis. Some feathers were coming out deformed on both of them and both were plucking their thighs, bellies and under the wings. The vet said that it could also be circovirus and/or malnutrition.
They are now so much happier, relaxed, playing more, doing air-loops while flying, twittering happily and last but not least -- they have soooo many new feather pins and down growing!!! I can't believe the difference in this short time!"

Infection in the Feet of a Canine
August 11 - "My German Shepherd, Angel, recently incurred an infection in the pads of her foot, one area is especially nasty. She has been under veterinary treatment, where antibiotic and anti-inflammatory drugs were prescribed. These helped to a degree but she is still not right. In conjunction with the Soother Plus and 3 days of the Booster Angel is much better. We will naturally continue use of these products until the pads of her feet are completely healed. I will then switch to the Sunshine factor!"
August 18 - "I am pleased to say that Angel is making a remarkable recovery, which surprised the vet. Post biopsy on 3 individual foot pads, the vet removed 2 foot/leg bandages today, leaving 3 tiny, open holes in her foot pads and the partly healed cracks (due to prior use of HEALx Soother Plus). I immediately cleaned them in salt water, as advised by the vet, and resumed applying the HEALx Soother Plus. I am pleased to say that by the evening they began showing signs of healing."

Builder for Health Parakeets
(5 stars) "Good for overall health for birds, economical too. I have smaller birds (parakeets) and they are on a seed and pellet diet with fresh foods included daily. Constricted Toe
"The product "SOOTHER" Topical Spray is an excellent treatment for the condition sometimes suffered by baby parrots in the nest box or incubator known as "constricted toe." I have used this as part of the treatment of mild to moderate cases with great success. Inflammation and Bruising in a Feline
"My cherished Persian cat "Baxter" had extensive bruising and swelling most noted on his front legs which were purple, red and very swollen up his return home. Wound in a Guinea Pig
"Recess is a 4-year-old guinea pig that developed 2 caseous abscesses on its flank, which I removed en block. It was treated with Bactrim and Metacam. Severe Bite Wound
"A male swan was attacked by a
dog at a safari park, and a bite on
his wing resulted in a broken right humerus. The wing was amputated
by another veterinarian, and the animal was sent back to the swan house.
Four days later when I arrived at the park and examined him, I quickly realized that he needed to be transferred to the surgery room as soon as possible, or he would die within hours of the infection that
was decomposing his wing.
Two and a half hours later, the swan had survived the surgery, which involved amputating the wing at the shoulder level with just enough skin to close the area. Soother Plus cream was applied over the skin to help with pain and healing. The swan needed antibiotics and analgesics for 24 hours. The swan was released back to his mate at the safari the next day with instructions to the staff to apply Soother Spray daily over the wound and stitches.
One week later, I visited the swans. The male was doing great, but the female was limping badly. I examined her and found out that she had been bitten also. She had a swollen foot with a potentially broken phalange. The safari staff was instructed to apply Soother Plus cream to her foot daily.
Another week later, the male was eating and seemed happier. The female was walking short distances, and her broken bone was starting to heal. It was satisfying to see the pair back in their pond.."
